Patotsav Ceremony

Patotsav Ceremony and Annakut Darshan

Literally translates as “mountain of food”. An Annakut is actually a display of an array of dishes offered to the Lord on particularly auspicious occasions, such as the Hindu New Year.

The inauguration of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury will essentially be a ‘rebirth’ for the Mandir’s community, and in many ways ‘year one’ for them. As such, the most spectacular Annakut is planned to celebrate the arrival of the Lord into His new home.

Hundreds of mouth-watering delicacies will be arranged in a magnificent display, the likes of which will never have been seen before in the history of the Swaminarayan Faith. It will be one of the pinnacles of the entire festival.
