Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury held its first open day since moving from its previous residence in Golders Green. The day was organised by members of the community and included activities for all the family. There was a great fairground atmosphere in Purshottam Mahal as people tried their luck with knocking down the tins, testing their strength and playing their cards right.

Cricketing Great, Gordon Greenidge, visits Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
On Friday the 25th of September, world famous cricketer Gordon Greenidge MBE visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury. This follows a line of cricketing greats to have visited the state-of-the-art indoor sporting and community facilities at the Hindu temple.

On Tuesday 8th September 2015, Shree Muktajeevan Academy of Excellence held their annual Education Awards, recognizing students for their achievements in a variety of subjects and disciplines, including main stream school, college and university subjects, Gujarati and Bharatnatyam.

Swamibapa FC shoot their way into semi-finals at SKLP football tournament
Swamibapa Football Club, part of Shree Muktajeevan Sports Academy, took part in the annual SKLPC 5-a-side football tournament on Sunday 5th July 2015.
A total of 56 teams entered the tournament across 4 categories with Swamibapa Football Club having 3 teams participating in the Under 16s and Under 11s, with their youngest player Aditya at just 6 years old.

International Cricketers Visit Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
Five members of the Kenyan Cricket team visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury for the darshan of Acharya Swami Maharaj. They were hugely impressed by the state of the art sports facilities, including indoor cricket training facilities, that are used by the Mandir's very own Swamibapa Cricket Club as well as the local community.

International Yoga Day at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
Acharya Swamishree Maharaj gave His Darshan throughout a mass yoga session at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury on International Yoga Day. IYD was launched by the United Nations recently under the lobby of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was a student of Shree Swaminarayan Arts College at our headquarters at Maninagar, Ahmedabad, India.

Former West Indies Cricket Captain subsequent team manager, ICC match referee, cricket committee chairman and living legend Clive Lloyd CBE AO thrilled local youngsters and elders alike by visiting the state of the art indoor cricket net facilities at Purushottam Mahal (part of the recently opened multi- purpose community business and spiritual hub - Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Complex, Shree Swaminarayan Temple on Kingsbury Road on Friday 26 September.

Great North Swim - Lake Windermere
On Sunday 15th June, 14 swimmers from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury joined the thousands plunging into the cold waters of Lake Windermere for the Great North Swim. Funds raised by these "Swaminarayan Swimmers" brought the total so far raised for the St Lukes Hospice to £24K in less than three months and the Midnight Walk on 27th June will again add to that total.
