Save the Children campaign continues to make waves
The campaign to support Save the Children in celebration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s 75th year Sadbhav Amrut Parva continues strongly, with four adventurous swimmers braving an open water swim on Saturday 10th June 2017.

Kenyan Cricketing Star to Coach Swamibapa Cricket Club
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury welcomes cricketing star Morris Ouma to the coaching ranks of Swamibapa Cricket Club, which operates under the umbrella of the Mandir’s Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Sports Academy.

Under 10s help raise over £2,000 for Save the Children by jumping in Muddy Puddles
On Saturday 20th March 2017, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Kingsbury set up a fantastic Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk in nearby Silver Jubilee Park to raise vital funds for Save the Children.

Over one hundred little Muddy Puddlers took part in the event and helped to raise over £2,000 with more sponsorship continuing to flood in.

Sunday 25th December saw the 2016 end of year annual Open Day at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury. The day brought together the entire community - both from the Mandir itself as well as our friends and neighbours - to take part in a range of fun and games, celebration and reflection.

Swamibapa FC takes to the pitch at annual SKLP football tournament
Swamibapa Football Club, part of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Academy of Sport, took part in the annual SKLPC 5-a-side football tournament on Sunday 3rd July 2016.

Over 50 teams entered the tournament across 4 categories with Swamibapa FC entering 3 teams in the Under 16s and Under 11s categories.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury calls for peace and tolerance on International Yoga Day
Some 250 'yogis' gathered at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury today to celebrate the second annual International Yoga Day. With Yoga being so synonymous with strength and flexibility as well as boosting mental and emotional peace and wellbeing, the event was used to honour the innocent victims of recent hate-crimes; the mass shootings in Orlando exactly a week ago, and the more recent murder of MP, Jo Cox. A short minute silence was held at the end of the Yoga session to reflect on these horrific events and pray of peace and tolerance.

Kingsbury Community Go the Extra Mile for Sport Relief
Members from Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury joined forces with the local community in support of this year's Sport Relief campaign. Well over one hundred runners young and old turned out in force on Sunday 20th March for the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile to raise vital funds for this national charity with international reach.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury hosts its first Open Day
Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury held its first open day since moving from its previous residence in Golders Green. The day was organised by members of the community and included activities for all the family. There was a great fairground atmosphere in Purshottam Mahal as people tried their luck with knocking down the tins, testing their strength and playing their cards right.

Cricketing Great, Gordon Greenidge, visits Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
On Friday the 25th of September, world famous cricketer Gordon Greenidge MBE visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury. This follows a line of cricketing greats to have visited the state-of-the-art indoor sporting and community facilities at the Hindu temple.
