Shree Muktajeevan Sports Academy at Shree Swaminarayan Temple London aims are:

  • To promote team working in the community
  • To use sport to encourage participation in other temple activities
  • Educate participants in Sports science
  • Encourage people to pass on their skills to others
  • Raise the profile of our community via competitions / tournaments
  • To provide a pathway through to national coaching program / scholarships

Shree Muktajeevan Sports Academy runs the following clubs :-

Swamibapa Cricket Club

Established in 1984, the club spent many years playing non league cricket. In 2002 Swamibapa Cricket Club joined the Fullers League. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength. In 2004 Swamibapa CC established the 2nd XI who went on to play in the 1987 Middlesex League. They finished second and they were runners up in the Harry Thakar Sheild. 2006 saw the establishment of Swamibapa CC 3rd XI. Plans are being made to have a Colts team ready for the 2007 season.

Valuable life skills, such as social interaction and teamwork, can also be learnt from such recreational activities. The principles of religion together with these skills can ensure that individuals lead a just, dignified and respectful life. Swamibapa Football Club

The Football Club caters for two ages groups, under 18s and adults.

Under 18s – There are three qualified FA Coaches who train the youngsters. The FA Soccer Star Challenge is a program run by the governing body of football. Its develops skills required to play football to a high standard. Players can earn a maximum of five stars subject to completing skills tests. So far we have one player on three stars, two players on two stars and fifteen on one star. This training is ongoing.

Adults – Swamibapa FC are participating in tournaments to build up their experience. The plans are to enter a league in the winter.

Swamibapa Volleyball Club

The Volleyball Club has been preparing to enter a Volleyball League.

Swamibapa Netball Club

As well as catering for the males in the community, Swamibapa Netball Club caters for the females. Plans are to enter a Netball League.

Swamibapa Youth Clubs

The Youth Club provides children / adults a place to participate in snooker, pool, table tennis and darts. Coaching is given to the younger members of the club.
