The second day of the Sanskar Kendra Sukhpar Mahotsav started with a procession from the Sanskar Kendra to the Sabha Mandap. Swamibapa Swamishree Music Band, Maninagar saluted Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa outside the Mandir and led the procession with the kirtan 'Swaminarayan Gadi'. Acharya Swaminshree was adorned with intricately decorated garlands as he gave darshan from a chariot, pulled by His disciples. Sukhpar was immersed with the bliss of the merciful Lord SwaminarayanBapa Swamibapa.
The morning sabha started with scripture recitals from the Swaminarayan Gadi Granth followed by the divine ashirwad of Acharya Swamishree. In these blessings He stated,
Yesterday evening, we saw the talented sants and disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan perform devotion through dance and music. They all recognised their skills as being gifts from God, and are using them to please the Lord more and more.
The Lord never remains afar from truly devoted disciples who have instilled the love of God into their heart. In Kariyani Chapter 11 of the Vachanamrut, Lord Shree Swaminarayan states that those who have a firm affection for God remain intimately associated with Him at all times, and wherever they go, they are accompanied by the Murti of God. Just as that devotee is unable to live without God, that God is also unable to live without the devotee. God never remains afar from their hearts, not even for the time it takes for an eye to blink.
It is said that butter, wax and ghee melt when they come close to fire; in the same way, the heart of a true disciple of God melts when he attains the darshan of God. He becomes immersed into the Lord’s Murti due to his profound love for God. Such true love develops if the disciple acknowledges the true grandeur of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s supremacy, and understands Him to be the ultimate Incarnator of all incarnations, Cause of all causes, Controller of everything, and the only One worthy to take resort unto.
Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree says that no spells, magic, curses or spirits can harm a true disciple of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. He explains that the Lord’s disciple must remain courageous and resolute that everything happens due to the Lord’s will, but no other influence can change that fact. With such confidence, one must abide implicitly with the commandments of the Lord, and at the same time, perform loving devotion to continuously please Him more and more.
That Murti of the merciful Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presides at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi to bestow salvation to whosoever associates with Him.
Following ashirwad, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan received guests from charitable and community associations of Sukhpar and Kutch District. His Divine Holiness praised the work that these organisations conduct for the welfare and betterment of society; and made generous donations to each on behalf of the Sanskar Kendra Sukhpar to enable them to further their sterling efforts. Over Rs 41 Lakh was bequest on behalf of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Santhan for educational, public health and animal welfare causes. Beneficiaries included: Shree Kutch Leva Patel Girls School; Shree Kutch Leva Patel Medical Trust; Shree Madhav Smurti Trust Sukhpar; and Shree Sarva Seva Saang Bhuj.
In the afternoon a magnificent Nagaryatra (procession) was held across
the streets of Sukhpar. Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Jeevanpran Bapashree,
Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and Acharya Swamibapa each presided upon
the back of an elephant and gave darshan to all the townsfolk in a 4
elephant procession. The murti to be installed in the Sanskar Kendra
Sukhpar were carried on a magnificent, ornately decorated gold
chariot. It seemed as if the entire population of Sukhpar had come out
onto the streets for the Lord’s darshan.
The Nagaryatra commenced in the late afternoon with temperatures
reaching 43C. Swamibapa Swamishree Music Band led the procession, with
many other bands, musicians, dancers and revellers adding to the
cacophony of sound that rang through the town announcing the presence
of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. The level of sound did not drop
throughout the 3 hour procession, as Acharya Swamishree gave darshan
and prasad to disciples along the route.
Just as the sun set, the procession reached the Sanskar Kendra, where
the 4 elephants lined up to give an opportunity for the divine darshan
of the Lord’s Murti. Sukhpar had been blessed on this day by the
supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and His Divine Holiness
