Today saw the commencement in Sukhpar of a three day festival to celebrate the opening of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Sanskar Kendra - a centre for the preservation and propagation of spirituality, devotion and morality. Disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi from around the world gathered in Sukhpar to join the festivities. Lord Swaminarayan Himself visited Sukhpar on many occasions and the Sanskar Kendra will provide a centre where disciples of the village can gather for scriptural debate, religious discussions, education, and social events to celebrate the glory of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

The day’s festivities commenced at the Sanskar Kendra. Acharya Swamishree presidedupon an ornate chariot pulled by his beloved Sants, as he travelled to the sabha mandap a short distance down Sukhpar High Street. The procession was led by disciples singing kirtans and playing instruments, followed by Sants and the magnificent chariot, with large crowds from Sukhpar lining the street to receive darshan.

The morning sabha saw the inauguration of a number of scriptures.

In His divine ashirwad, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj stated:

An ocean of devotion can be seen flowing today in Sukhpar. All this is due to the extraordinary prowess of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Disciples never tire in pleasing the Lord in whichever manner they can, at every opportunity that they get..

Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa used to explain that a true disciple is he who remains with his Swami and abides by the Swami’s will. He realises that his strength is his dedication to his Swami; his abilities are all due to his Swami’s mercy. The Swami may rebuke him, but he realises that this is for his own betterment. If he has taken a true patronage of the Swami, he will never go elsewhere.

We are fortunate at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi to have encountered the divine presence of Lord Shree Swaminarayan Himself. We are fortunate to have learnt the true supremacy of Lord Shree Swaminarayan through Jeevanpran Bapashree. We are fortunate to have attained the true Guru, Jeevanpran Swamibapa, who explained the identity of Jeevanpran Bapashree, Lord Swaminarayan Himself. We are also fortunate to have also met Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa; Lord Swaminarayanbapa Himself. We are privileged to have been granted the divine shelter of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, the divine throne upon which Purna Purushottam Lord Shree Swaminarayan presides in Akshardham. May the supreme, merciful Lord bestow us with the strength, wisdom and ability to remain vigilant always about the great fortune we have attained, so that we continue to please Him more and more.

Following Acharya Swamishree's arshiwad, disciples were given gifts for the scripture recitals held on their behalf.

During the afternoon Acharya Swamishree and eminent sants performed the havan ceremony for the Murtis to be installed in the Sanskar Kendra – Sukhpar; the first stage of ceremonies for the installation of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in their new Sukhpar abode.

A Bhakti Sangeet and Nrutya evening was held at the sabha mandap. The performances included kirtans and dances by talented sants. Many of the disciples who performed during the evening had travelled from all over Gujarat.
