At 7 am on the fifth day of the Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Suvarna Mahotsav Bhuj, sants concluded scripture recitals.

At 8 am precisely, sants, disciples and the three bands of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan welcomed Acharya Swamishree at the grand entrance of the Sabha Mandap, along with the disciples on whose behalf scripture recitals had been held. They carried chaabs of various gifts to present to Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.

A number of eminent guests were also present on this occasion including sants from Haridham Sokhda representing Sant Shree Hariprasaddasji . Shree Hariprasaddasji usually attends our events in person, but due to an unexpected illness was unable to do so. Shree Raviprasad Sharma, a relative of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj’s mother Bhaktimata, was also present.

A number of charitable donations were also made on this occasion on behalf of Maninagar Shree Swaninarayan Gadi Sansthan to the SKLP Education and Medical Trusts, which will be used on schools in the Kutch region to provide study kits including textbooks, stationary and other study materials and school buses.

After this, His Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj bestowed divine blessings to all the sants, disciples and guests.

Following Ashirwad, the disciples on whose behalf scripture recitals were held performed poojan to Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, before everyone took prasad lunch.

At approximately 3.30pm, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj arrived at Bhuj Taluka Panchayat - the start location of the Nagar Yatra. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj bestowed His divine darshan, sat atop an elephant in a golden palanquin. The three bands of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Shree Muktajeevan Pipe band London, His Holiness Swamibapa Pipe Band Nairobi and Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band Bolton, marched in harmony to commence the procession.

The whole procession comprised of a number of different floats. In total there were four elephants – three carrying the Murtis of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa, in addition to Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s. Four majestic golden chariots, carrying our beloved sants, eight horses and two camels also formed part of the parade. The Nagar Yatra amazed all onlookers with the divine darshan of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.

At approximately 8pm, the procession reached Sabha Mandap where the Nagaryatra concluded.
