The final day of the festival was also the 57th anniversary of when Jeevanpran Swamibapa first installed the divine Murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in Shree Swaminarayan Temple Madhapur.

In the early morning, Acharya Swamishree first performed the patotsav ceremony in the Ladies Temple, and then the Men’s Temple. Disciples lovingly performed aarti to the Lord on this auspicious occasion.

After performing the patotsav ceremony, Acharya Swamishree, sants and disciples departed to go to the assembly pavilion. On the way, Acharya Swamishree stopped at the Madhapur village cow sanctuary to personally give fresh fodder to the cattle. Throughout the five days of the festival, 250 tonnes of fresh fodder was distributed to cow sanctuaries in Bhuj and in 20 other surrounding villages.

In the assembly pavilion, the divine blessings of Jeevanpran Swamibapa, which Swamibapa bestowed in Madhapur on the occasion of its silver jubilee, were first heard by all. In these blessings, Jeevanpran Swamibapa reminded everyone of His principle teaching, ‘Ensure that God remains predominant in your life; whilst worldly matters become insignificant.’

Acharya Swamishree then blessed the congregation, during which He said:

  • Today is the patotsav day of the Lord in this village. Today’s date gives an indication of the kind of determination that must be affirmed today towards the Lord; it is the fifth month, May and the date is the 4th. Four plus five makes nine. The significance of the number nine is well known. However much you multiply it, the number always reverts to its root, the number nine. Such a focussed, unfaltering faith and determination must be developed towards God.

  • If a resolute determination is developed towards God and the disciple enjoins himself with God in all manners, then, God becomes his protector. God remains vigilant to ensure that the disciple remains contented. For the welfare of His children, God holds processions, so that He can become close to His disciples, visit their homes, and thereby, closeness between God and His disciples can be developed.

  • Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa has given everyone the prime opportunity at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, of becoming close to Him, of developing divine love towards God, of understanding His true greatness and of experience the ecstasy of His divine Murti.

  • On this auspicious occasion, let us pray to the Lord, to provide us with the strength and determination, so that we remain obedient children of the Lord, and forever remain disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
