On day two of the festival, Acharya Swamishree performed the concluding ceremony of the recital of the holy scripture, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. Acharya Swamishree first visited the home of the disciple on whose behalf the recital was being held. In the form of a procession, Acharya Swamishree led the disciples, who carried gifts for the Lord, to the where the assembly was being held. The disciples then performed adoration to the scripture, Acharya Swamishree and the sants.

In His divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree said:

  • The glory of the supreme Lord cannot be fully described; it is that vast and infinite. However much one continues to describe the greatness of our supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, the words will still, never be able to completely narrate His unsurpassed, extraordinary prowess.

  • Such a great Lord has mercifully come down onto this Earth, to be with His loving children. By giving His love to them all, He made them pious disciples; He made them abide by the religious decrees; He made them perform devotion to Him; and in this manner, He made them worthy to attain absolute salvation. In other words, it is due to the immense grace of God that any soul attains the divine bliss of His Murti – absolute salvation.

  • The divinity of that supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa is experienced here, at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, because it is here that He remains present for all eternity. This is His home. This is His divine abode.

  • Do not waste the rare opportunity of being able to please the Lord by becoming attached to sensualities and worldly objects. Such articles are transient and trivial; and eventually, lead to immense misery.

  • Remain obedient to the Lord; remain faithful to the Lord’s divine Organisation. In this manner, please the Lord. Your reward will be the divine riches of His eternal kingdom, Akshardham.

The mains guests on this occasion were the Chief Collector of Kutch, Shree Pradipbhai Sharma and the Chief of the Bhuj Urban Development Authority, Shree K B Thanke. Both dignitaries were honoured by Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan for their work for the betterment of society. They were truly pleased to have been given the opportunity to gain the divine blessings of Acharya Swamishree. In his speech, the Chief Collector said, “Whenever society is truly in need, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan has been ready and willing to give the support that is required. The work of this Organisation for society’s improvement is admirable. I am proud to have met the inspiration behind such vital beneficial endeavours, Acharya Swamishree. His benevolence is unsurpassed. I admire His diligence and commitment to humanity.”

With the inspiration and divine blessings of Acharya Swamishree, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan has commenced a new Arts and Commerce College for Ladies in Bhuj. A new, purpose-built complex for the College is currently being built. Various donators to the college presented cheques to Acharya Swamishree through the Chief Collector. Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan also presented the various charitable institutions of Madhapur with charity cheques.

In the presence of the guests, Acharya Swamishree performed the inauguration of an English translation of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s scripture of holy commandments, the Shikshapatri.

During the evening, Swamibapa’s talented sants and disciples of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Kala Academy presented a concert of devotional dances. The highlight of this evening’s events was the Kanku Dance, performed by one of Swamibapa’s beloved sants, Shree Sarvatmapriyadasji Swami. As he danced superbly to devotional music, his feet drew a magnificent elephant on a cotton sheet, suspended on a layer of red kanku powder. The villagers of Madhapur, Bhuj and all the surrounding villages had gathered just to witness this truly remarkable dance.
