Shangar Darshan

Mangla Aarti

Inside the temple devotees congregated to have the divine darshan of the Lord during Mangla aarti on the final day of the Mahotsav.

At precisely 5:30 am, the sinhasan doors opened to reveal the divine mangla darshan of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in His gold sinhasan. Everyone present had the darshan of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performing aarti.

The Lord gave darshan adorned with His night clothing: a pink cap; pink tunic and red trousers.

Shangar Aarti

At 7:50 am the doors opened to reveal the divine darshan of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, who was adorned with a colourful bright red paag and red and white garments. The garments were embroided with gold thread. He had several gold necklaces covering Him from His neck to His lotus feet.

His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performed Shangar Aarti. Following the niyams Acharya Swamishree and the sants went for darshan to the Suvarna Tula Smarak Bhavan - Shree Swaminarayan Tower.

Swagat Yatra

On this fifth and final day of the Mahotsav, the sants and devotees waited patiently at Shree Swaminarayan Tower for Acharya Swamishree to arrive.

Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band gave a rendition of their repertoire whilst Acharya Swamishree and the sants went into the Tower for darshan. Acharya Swamishree then took His seat on the chariot adorned with pink garments. Poojan was offered by the devotees on whose behalf the scripture recitals were being held.

The procession started at Shree Swaminarayan Tower. Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band led the procession along Swaminarayan Road and into the sabha mandap.

Jeevanpran Swamibapa's sants and devotees danced to an instrumental composition, while devotees carried Acharya Swamishree to the sinhasan on a palanquin.

Divine Morning Ashirwad

His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree's divine ashirwad;

  • Today is the fifth and last day of our festival to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan and Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa’s manifestation upon this Earth.
  • All the disciples are eager to please the Lord in whichever way they can. Yesterday, our devoted sants offered 225 different lavish foods in the form of an annakut to the Lord. Furthermore, we celebrated the manifestation of the Lord late into the night. The Lord has granted us all this divine darshan and made it an occasion to remember for the rest of our lives.
  • In the Rahasyarth Commentary of Gadhada First Section Vachanamrut 59, Sadguru Bapa asked Jeevanpran Bapashree a question, “The supreme Lord Swaminarayan Himself is pratyaksh (present) through His idols (pratima Murtis). In that case, why are the previous incarnations said to be paroksh (non-existent) today?” Jeevanpran Bapashree replied, “Ramchandraji manifested and eclipsed the prowess of Parshuram. Then, Parshuram became paroksh and Ramchandraji became pratyaksh. Therefore, whoever eclipses the prowess of others is the one who is pratyaksh. Lord Shree Swaminarayan is supreme and so He is forever pratyaksh.”
  • In Ahmedabad Section Vachanamrut 6, the Lord has decribed the means by which to attain an immoveable conviction for the Satsang - one must realise that: the Lord is present in this Satsang; the twenty-four incarnation emerge from Him and He is their cause; He resides in all souls through His omniscience; He forever resides in Akshardham amongst a mass of lustre in a definite form; He is infinitely many prowess’; He is the Lord of all the Lords of the cosmoses, and the cause of Akhshardham.
  • Bhudharanand Swami resided in Ahmedabad and had 60 students under his tutelage. He asked Ayodhyaprasadji Maharaj, ‘If you will permit, I want to go to Vadtal to associate with Shree Gopalanand Swami.’ Acharya Maharaj (Ayodhyaprasadji Maharaj) replied, ‘what imperfection exists in you?’ Bhudharanand Swami said, ‘Gopalbapa understand the true glory of the Lord. I do not have even one-hundredth of his understanding.’ Saying this, he went to Vadtal with 59 students. After this period, he said to Gopalbapa, ‘Without your association, I would not have understood the true glory of the Lord despite having resided with Him.’ In this manner, by associating with a Sat-purush, one is able to perfect his own understanding.

"I feel proud and previliged to have been allowed to play inside Maninagar Mandir,
for the first time in the bands history. We have played at many venues across the world,
but nothing compares to this experience.."
