Inside the Temple devotees gathered from all over the world for the divine darshan of the Lord during mangla aarti, on the second day of the Mahotsav.

At precisely 5:30 am, the sinhasan doors opened to reveal the first divine mangla darshan of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in His gold sinhasan. Everyone present had the darshan of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performing the mangla aarti.

The Lord gave darshan adorned with His night clothing: a white cap; white tunic and white trousers.

Shangar Aarti

Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj was adorned with a green paag and vaaghaa. The vaaghaas were embroided with gold thread. He had four gold garlands covering Him from His neck to His knees.

His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performed Shangar Aarti. Following the niyams Acharya Swamishree and the sants went for darshan to the Suvarna Tula Smaraki Bhavan - Shree Swaminarayan Tower.

Divine Morning Ashirwad

His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree's divine ashirwad;

  • If you want to be saved from the internal enemies such as lust, anger and greed, you must abandon addictions such as alcohol. These addictions are such that one is able to cope without food, but not without drinking (alcohol). Lord Shree Swaminarayan liberated innumerable people from such addictions, whereby they became successful in all aspects of their lives. Today, we have the darshan of such a great redeemer
  • Lord Shree Swaminarayan initiated the practice of sending souls into a trance (samadhi). Such a trance is no simple feat; this state is the final attainment of performing the 8-fold Yoga, and a complete description of this state would fill volumes of scriptures. Without making them perform such endeavors, Lord Shree Swaminarayan granted this trance indiscriminately to numerous souls by merely chanting His name.
  • Lord Shree Swaminarayan redeemed even the most sinful of people. One such person was Jeevan Bhaghat of Jetalpur. He had a desire to offer a meal to the Lord. On one occasion, his wife had prepared a rotlo and cooked spinach. She prepared a package of the food and told her husband to go and offer it to Maharaj. He arrived in the congregation where the Lord was presiding but he did not have the courage to offer the food. The Lord snatched the package from Jeevan Bhaghat and began eating it. The Lord even acknowledged the sentiments of such a sinful person and accepted food from him. Moreover, the Lord gave some of the rotlo to Brahmanand Swami to offer some to the entire congregation. In this manner, the Lord redeemed even the lowest classes of society. His aim was to bestow common morals to the lowest and highest classes of society, as a result of which, the lowest classes were elevated to beyond the Brahmin class.

Jeevapran Swamibapa pioneered new ways of spreading the supreme tenets of Lord Swaminarayan - including the production of plays to convey the message of morality and religion.

Such a drama was performed during this evening. The drama was based on a young man called Vasant whose life revolved around watching bollywood movies. He didn't listen to his parents and began to waste his life away. One day he had the divine vision of Jeevanpran Swamibapa who told him what he had to do to lead a righteous life. From that day on, he became a devout devotee of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
