On Sunday 25th March 2012, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band performed in Manchester encouraging over 6200 runners that ran the Sports Relief Mile, one of many events that were held nationwide to help raise money for Sports Relief. People ran either one, three or six miles to help. Money raised from Sport Relief goes to UK charities as well as development and humanitarian relief charities helping children and adults suffering in some of the world's most challenging conditions. This year Sports Relief has raised over 52 million pounds and counting!
The people of Manchester were joined at the start line by some well known faces, all going the extra mile for Sport Relief: Antony Cotton, Nikki Sanderson, Chris Ashton, Olly Murs and John Bishop were just some of the celebrities that took part in the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile in Manchester.
