Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band was invited to play by Bolton School at this year’s summer concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on the evening of 29 June.
Eight of the local Junior Schools in Bolton, around 700 children took part in performing alongside with the more experienced musicians of the Bolton School Boys’ Division ‘Proms Orchestra’.
The evening came to an end with a finale from the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band marching onto the stage performing a Scottish Traditional Medley, Amazing Grace followed by Auld Lang Syne whereby the massed voices of all the children of the eight primary schools, the Bolton boys years seven and eight choirs and the orchestra all played together including the participation from the audience. |
