On the 7th June 2008 Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band led an Interfaith charity fund raising display in the centre of Bolton. ‘Helping in Harmony’ was a multicultural and multifaith event where Hindus, Christians and Muslims came together to raise funds for the cyclone disaster in Burma and the earthquake in China. The band played for almost 5 hours in a hugely successful display where thousands of people watched the groups in Victoria Square in front of the Town Hall. Alongside the pipe band was a dhol group, some of their players were from our Mandir in Bolton. The star show was the fusion piece where dhols and bagpipes played together to create a unique visual and audio experience.

Well done to all the Pipe band players, on behalf of the Mandir, for representing the mandir in a highly professional and thoroughly enjoyable way.
