The rainy morning of Saturday 5th August saw our participants line up at the start line to begin the Parkrun at Leverhulme Park alongside hundreds of locals.
In the face of challenging weather conditions, our participants exhibited incredible perseverance and triumphantly rose to the challenge with beaming smiles. The terrain presented an uphill struggle and requiring the youngest candidate at 8 years old, to the oldest being 70 years old to give their all to conquer those difficult sections.
Embracing the motto 'Society Before Self,' generous donations of non-perishable items were collected for two local charities: Backup, an organization that offers safe and stable opportunities for homeless teenagers to develop skills for independence; Urban Outreach, focuses on providing food for households in crisis and supporting the most vulnerable members of the Bolton community.
We extend our gratitude and appreciation to all the remarkable participants who embraced the challenge before them and generously contributed their support through kind donations.
