Acharya Swamishree Maharaj teaches us, “The Lord states that service (sewa) is a primary duty; sewa to society must be our mantra”. Inspired by that philosophy, members of our community have been hugely successful in donating food and essential items towards fighting the global Covid-19 pandemic. We aim to help our NHS heroes on the front line against the fight against the virus, as well as others impacted by its effects. Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Bolton has seen an amazing response from the local community and has been working closely with The Bolton Hospice and The Royal Bolton Hospital to deliver these supplies. Feedback from these organisations has been hugely positive, and we know our efforts are reaching directly where they are needed most. The local community will continue to donate to play their part to ensure that this global pandemic is bought to an end as soon as possible.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
