Sunday was the 15th Patotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey. Acharya Swamishree performed the patotsav poojan, as sants and disciples chanted the sacred mahamantra together. A grand annakut was then offered to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, and Acharya Swamishree cut a celebration cake in honor of the occasion. The flags of the temple were also changed and raised to mark the temple entering its sixteenth year.
The second patotsav celebrations for Shree Swaminarayan Temple Delaware were held from Monday, August 1, to Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
Sants and disciples gathered in the temple Monday afternoon to preform the Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir Rajat Mahotsav Maha Yagna ceremony as well as samuh parayans. Thereafter, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj was warmly welcomed to the temple in the evening. Disciples performed the swagat of Acharya Swamishree as well as all sants by garlanding them. Acharya Swamishree then performed sandhya aarti niyams, and all disciples then had mahaprasad.
The next morning, Acharya Swamishree performed the second patotsav ceremony of the divine murtis of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in Shree Swaminarayan Temple Delaware. He also performed the annual flag-raising ceremony outdoors. A grand annakut was then assembled by sants, and everyone then had the chance to perform annakut aarti and darshan. Acharya Swamishree showered divine blessings upon all, and the event concluded with mahaprasad for everyone outdoors. Acharya Swamishree then continued His vicharan of the Mid-Atlantic area before reaching New Jersey.
