Shreejimaharaj says that one should continually scrutinise his own mind. Someone who is unable to become engrossed in the Bhagwan Swaminarayn's Murti, should recall His glorious episodes, and contemplate about His Murti. One should associate with the Lord's Muktas who are capable of eradicating the thoughts of others. one should behave in accordance with his own religious decree and having understood God's greatness, he should become dispassionate. Someone who does not think of anything except for God, behaves as a soul and has upasana for God, is a perfect ascetic. Someone who does not think of anything, except for God, to be his is a genuine disciple. Shreejimaharaj further states that the characteristic of the soul is the ability to explain and understand.
