Members from Swamibapa Pipe Band led the United States armed forces members and police officers in the memorial procession. The Rajat Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi (a festival marking 25 years since Jeevanpran Swamibapa gave Shree Swaminarayan Gadi a physical embodiment) was held in Maninagar. Acharya Swamishree opened the newly re-built Shree Ishwar Sadvidyashram (Swaminarayan Boarding).
Prof. Rajendra Singh, head of India's Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had come to inaugurate celebrations marking 50 years of service by the RSS in Kenya (known locally as the "Bharatiya Swayamsevak Sangh," or BSS). Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band - Nairobi was a standout performer during the spectacular processions which commenced at Kenya Bhramsabha building on Muranga Road and culminated at SSD Temple in Lower Kabete.
