On 10th September 2009 the disciples of Dasada, in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat, were given the opportunity of being the first to officially welcome Acharya Swamishree, after He had returned to India from a tour of the UK and USA.

A grand procession was held through the village, and people from all over the region flocked for Acharya Swamishree’s divine darshan. In particular, the Moslem villagers, who were observing the holy month of Ramadan, were touched by Acharya Swamishree’s kindness towards them. Representatives from the various Islamic societies of the village came for Acharya Swamishree’s darshan and blessings.

In His discourse, Acharya Swamishree described the manners in which we must behave so that we do not contravene the wishes and commands of God. He said that foremost should be our observance of the five sacred vows (panch vartman); do not drink alcohol, do not steal, do not consume meat, do not commit adultery, do not eat just anywhere and everywhere, or just anything and everything, or from just anyone and everyone.

The sants then talked about the main events during Acharya Swamishree’s recent tour of the UK and USA, and then mahaprasad was distributed to all the villagers.
