Acharya Swamishree performs the patotsav ceremony at Shree Swaminarayan Temple Mumbai
Returning from a short trip to Kenya, Acharya Swamishree arrived in Mumbai during the early hours of Sunday 5th June 2011.
The sants and disciples of Mumbai had organised an evening of devotional singing and festivities to celebrate Acharya Swamishree’s 69th birthday. Shree Manhar Udhas, Bollywood singer and elder brother of singer Pankaj Udhas, and renowned folk singers of the city performed songs on this joyous occasion.
Monday 6th June 2011 marked 44 years since Jeevanpran Swamibapa established Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Mumbai in Babulnath View, and 22 years since Acharya Swamishree inaugurated the grand temple in the prestigious Mahalaxmi region of Mumbai. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, Acharya Swamishree performed the grand adoration ceremony of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Annakut thaal was offered to the Lord and disciples took the opportunity to perform aarti.
Later that evening, Acharya Swamishree returned to Maninagar for a few days. He will be leaving Ahmedabad again on Friday 10 June 2011 for a tour of the UK and USA. During this time, Acharya Swamishree will perform the opening of Shree Swaminarayan Temple Chicago, and celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey.
