Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa’s 104th manifestation day was celebrated at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar, in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree.
After performing the Shanghar Aarti of the Lord in the main mandir, Acharya Swamishree travelled to the Tower Mandir, from a grand procession was held. 104 young disciples carried various gifts to present at the lotus feet of Jeevanpran Swamibapa. The procession proceeded to the ground of the mandir, where the main assembly had been held. One by one, the disciples came to the front of the stage with their offerings and presented them with Acharya Swamishree to our Gurudev. Acharya Swamishree adorned Swamibapa with a grand, golden garland and moogat, before cutting the celebration cake.
Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s tula ceremony was then performed, during which He was ceremonially weighed against fresh flowers, coconuts and sugar candy. This reminded disciples of the grand festivals held in 1957, 1967 and 1977, when Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s golden, platinum and diamond jubilees were held.
On this occasion, Acharya Swamishree performed the inauguration of a CD containing an audio of the scripture, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
Together with sants and disciples, Acharya Swamishree performed the inauguration of newly published scriptures, Sadachar Sandesh – Gujarati, 2nd edition, Shree Harirasamrut Kavya – collection of devotional songs written by Shree Vasantbhai Patel, 6th edition, Shree Vrundavan Swami ni Vato – 5th edition, Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan Sarvopari – 2nd edition, Navaliya ni Nautam Leela – 2nd edition, and a special edition of the monthly magazine Shree Ghanshyam Vijay, which has been published in English.
In His divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree said:
- Due to the divine grace of the supreme Lord, the opportunity to perform devotion to the Lord and please Him has been attained. Do not waste that rare opportunity, or spoil it by allowing undesirable traits enter you. Instead of performing sincere devotion, if you let enmity and jealousy to dictate your behaviours, your devotion would have become completely futile.
- People are seen, who perform devotional deeds, not to please the Lord, but instead, to show themselves to be great and pious to the external world. Rather than creating unity amongst the society, such fruitless devotion causes unrest. Through such dishonesty, that deceitful individual suffers, and never progresses. Such arrogance and ego must be eliminated and selfless devotion must be performed. Otherwise, everything that you do has no true purpose – you will not please the almighty Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
- Jeevanpran Swamibapa gives an example of the time of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. On one occasion, Prince Albert locked himself in his private chamber. Queen Victoria knocked on the door to enter it. Prince Albert shouted, “Who is it?” She replied, “Queen Victoria!” He did not open the door. This continued several times, but still, Prince Albert did not enter the door. On the fourth occasion, the Queen replied, “It is me, your Victoria!” Immediately, Prince Albert opened the door.
On the august occasion of Gurudev, Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s 104th manifestation, may you all acquire the strength and wisdom to eliminate all flaws and undesirable attitudes from within you, and become worthy of the divine shelter of the merciful, Purna Purushottam Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, which exists here, at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi
- By this example, Jeevanpran Swamibapa explains that if you want to enter the kingdom of God, you need to eliminate all ego and arrogance, and sense of superiority from within you. If you remain humble before the Lord, He will surely allow you to go to Him.
