The disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi living in the UK are fortunate to be able to celebrate the holy Shravan month in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree this year.

Shravan is the most auspicious month of the Chaturmas. On Purnima or full moon day, or during the course of the month, the star 'Shravan' rules the sky and for this reason, the month has been named Shravan. Several festivals fall during this month. Most people observe additional vows during Shravan.

On 6th August 2003, a traditional Indian dance event was held at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, London, to celebrate the holy Shravan month. The entire Mandir had been decorated with flower garlands. The entire building resembled a majestic flower mandap. A beautiful pink lotus flower shaped rotating fountain was placed under the centrepiece of the mandap. Acharya Swamishree graced the lotus flower and sat on top of the flower. The disciples danced around Acharya Swamishree in the traditional Indian manner, to the accompaniment of bhajans sang by our talented Sants and young disciples.

On this occasion, Acharya Swamishree, Sants and disciples inaugurated 2 new devotional bhajan CDs. Bhakti Anand ni Heli is a compilation of bhajans written by the Nand Padvi Sants and Jeevanpran Swamibapa. The music director was the famous Shravan. Bhakti Pushpanjali is a collection of specially written bhajans, sung to the latest Bollywood tracks.
