Immediately after his election victory in Indian state of Gujarat, Shree Narendra Modi came to Maninagar Mandir for the darshan of Lord Swaminarayan and Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa.

The state of Gujarat has been inflicted by sectarian violence over the past year. It was thought that the recent state elections would trigger off a new spate of riots. But by the grace of the supreme Lord, there have been no major reports of mass violence through the entire state. Let us all pray to Lord SwaminarayanBapa Swamibapa that this peace is maintained.

The newly re-elected Chief Minister of Gujarat is Honourable Shree Narendra Modi. He has led the BJP to a two-third majority in the Assembly. Narendra Modi has vowed to unite the five crore Gujarati people. He has said that the people who have been spreading poison along religious lines have been defeated.

Shree Narendra Modi is a former student of our Swaminarayan Arts College in Ahmedabad. He therefore has a deep regard and affection for our Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa and His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree. Immediately after his election victory, Shree Narendra Modi came to our Maninagar Mandir for the darshan of Lord Swaminarayan and Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa. His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree is currently giving darshan in Nairobi.
