After a 2 month long vicharan in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, Acharya Swamishree arrived back in Maninagar on 28th January 2006.
On 23rd January 2006, Acharya Swamishree went to the yard of a disciple to perform the opening of several new trucks that he had recently purchased. Acharya Swamishree consecrated each truck and sat in their driving seat.
During the afternoon, Acharya Swamishree went to the office of Mr Naushad Merali, the proprietor of the Sameer Group of Companies, which is well renowned throughout Kenya.
On 24th January, Mr Mike Dudar, Sales Director of Mercedes Benz Nairobi, came for the darshan of Acharya Swamishree. Dr Warsaw, the physician who treated Acharya Swamishree in 1998, when He showed Himself to suffer a massive heart attack, also came for Acharya Swamishree’s blessings.
A special program was held in the Temple to commemorate India’s Republic Day. The India National Anthem was sung by the sants and disciples, whilst the Indian Flag was raised. The young girls of the community performed a devotional dance to the tune of India’s patriotic song, Vande Mataram.
During the evening of 26th January, Acharya Swamishree departed from Nairobi and reached Mumbai on the morning of 27th. Whilst in Mumbai, the sants and disciples garlanded Acharya Swamishree to welcome Him back to India. A charity function was also held, during which over 1750 poor people were given donations of food and clothing.
On the same evening, Acharya Swamishree departed by train from Mumbai and arrived in Maninagar in the early hours of 28th January 2006.
