A special commemoration assembly held at Shree Swaminarayan Temple - Maninagar, in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree.
In the Satsangi Jeevan, it is said, “Akhandam swaswaroopasthaa mahaanto ye tu purushaaha…” The manifestation of such great saints is purely for the salvation of souls. Unlike ordinary beings, they manifest and depart according to their will, but not through the ideology of karma. Some may be disillusioned by the departure of Jeevanpran Swamibapa, but His true disciples will see this as just another phase in His divine leela.
Samvat 2035 Bhadarva Sud 7 (Thursday 30th August 1979) was the day that Jeevanpran Swamibapa had chosen to end His human leela upon this earth. The place was Bolton, UK .
Tuesday 21st September 2004 marked the 25th anniversary of Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s antardhan leela.
A special commemoration assembly was held at Shree Swaminarayan Temple - Maninagar, in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree. Commemorative assemblies were also held in every Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Temple around the world.
A recollection of Jeevanpran Swamibapa’s final day, written by one of Swamibapa’s beloved sants who accompanied Him on that day, is given below. This article was first published in the organisation’s monthly publication, Shree Ghanshyam Vijay.
