In the preface to the Vachanamrut, our eminent Sadgurus have retold some of the habitual behaviours of the supreme Lord Swaminarayan when He gave darshan in a human form.

“When He used to dine, He kept a cloth draped around the back of His ears, with His ears uncovered. Whilst He dined, He crossed His left leg and placed His left palm on it. He kept His right leg folded and vertical, and kept His right elbow on that knee; and then He used to dine. Whilst dining, He had a tendency to drink water frequently. Whilst dining, if He found an item of food to be particularly tasty, He used to give it first to whichever great disciple was most dear to Him, and then He used to eat it.”

On 28th September 2005, Swamibapa’s devoted sants adorned Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj with the kinds of robes of robes that He used to wear when He dined whilst giving darshan in a human form. The sants lovingly arranged a vast array of thar before the Lord. Acharya Swamishree performed the Rajbhog aarti to Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj and then offered the thar to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.

A special, decorated canopy, in the form of palm trees was created in Shree Brahm Mahol. Acharya Swamishree was seated under this canopy to take the prasad of the Lord. Special seating arrangements were also made for all the sants to take prasad.

In this manner, the Lord is ever-present upon the earth, and is fulfilling the spiritual wishes of His loving disciples.
