After fulfilling the wishes for devotees in the USA, Acharya Swamishree arrived in the UK on 15th August 2005 at London's Heathrow Airport at 7.55am. Acharya Swamishree and the sants were greeted by eagerly awaiting devotees at Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan Temple, Golders Green, London. Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band saluted Acharya Swamishree and led Him into the Temple.
This morning it was India away from India at Golders Green temple. Hundreds of young and old Indians assembled to celebrate India's Independence Day, when His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and His sants descended with the Indian tricolour to this august corner of London.
It was an ocean of orange, white and green on Finchley Road at Shree Swaminarayan Temple London as hundreds of enthusiastic flag-waving children gathered to commemorate Indian Independence Day with Acharya Swamishree. As Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band played the Indian National Anthem, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree saluted the Indian tricolour.
His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree addressed the assembled congregation and encouraged the Indians that reside in Britain to unite during these times when we are under the threat of terrorist activity. He advised all to be vigilant and exhibit the highest sense of patriotism towards Great Britain, their adopted homeland; and to allow the virtues of morality and integrity to encompass all their deeds.
