Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan held a two day convention to commemorate the history of Gujarat on 2nd and 3rd December 2006.
As a further facet of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabdi celebrations, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan held a two day convention to commemorate the history of Gujarat on 2nd and 3rd December 2006. The event had been specially inspired by Acharya Swamishree to bring together the professors and students of Shree Muktajeevan Arts College in Ahmedabad, Shree Muktajeevan Arts College in Vaghjipur and Shree Muktajeevan Arts and Commerce College for Girls in Bhuj. These scholars and students gathered in the halls of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Sevashram in the scenic hill station resort of Mount Abu to discuss various topics about Gujarat’s history.
By the command of Acharya Swamishree, the mahant of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar, Sadguru Shashtri Shree Bhagwatpriyadasji Swami performed the opening ceremony of the convention, in the presence of the district council president, Shree Jalamgiriji, Council President Principal Shree Subhashbhai Bhrahmbhatt, Deputy President Dr R T Savliya, Secretary Shree Harshadbhai Brahmbhatt and Mukrandbhai Mehta. In their opening speeches, these distinguished scholars congratulated Acharya Swamishree for inspiring such a noble convention, which they were adamant, would be highly beneficial for all those taking part, in order to advance their comprehension of history. They were extremely proud to have taken part in this educational symposium.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
