Acharya Swamishree visited Nairobi's National Park on 30th November 2004.
Lord Shree Swaminarayan has advocated compassion for all of God’s creatures. To give His divine, enchanting darshan to the animals, Acharya Swamishree visited Nairobi’s National Park on 30th November 2004.
The park’s officials were delighted to meet Acharya Swamishree once again. During previous visits to Kenya, Acharya Swamishree has given encouragement and support to the park. On this occasion, Acharya Swamishree was told about the story of the orphaned rhino. The all-merciful Acharya Swamishree compassionately pledged His support to the rhino. The young orphaned rhino has now been adopted by Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. Acharya Swamishree named the rhino Bahati - meaning lucky.
Acharya Swamishree and the sants then visited the wild animal enclosures and gave darshan to them all. Although they are wild animals, they became tame in the presence of Acharya Swamishree so that they could be granted His divine touch.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
