This year, Fuldolotsav, 27th March 2013, was celebrated in Madhapar, in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree.
The spring festival of colour and flowers, is Holi and Fuldolotsav.
On these two days, it is traditional to spray coloured water and sprinkle powdered paint over one another. The colours represent the beautiful spring blossoms that would be emerging this time of year in India. To make the colour more obvious, people tend to wear white clothing. The sentiment behind this is that the cold and melancholy of the winter season is replaced by the joy of the spring season. For a disciple, the colour sprayed by a Satpurush on this day represents the washing away of worldly aspects and replacing it all with the divine colour of God.
This year, Fuldolotsav, 27th March 2013, was celebrated in Madhapar, in the divine presence of Acharya Swamishree. Acharya Swamishree ceremonially bathed Shree Harikrishna Maharaj in the five nectars, and then sprayed Prasad colour over the disciples.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
