Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the Pratishtha ceremony and installed the divine Murtis of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa at Shaniyada Mandir


 

The village of Shaniyada is situated in the Ghoghamba region of the Panchmahal district. The people of these region are devoted and loyal, but extremely poor. However, in the past few years, by the divine grace of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and the continuous support of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, their prospects have changed dramatically. Their affiliation to Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan if resolute, unyielding and praiseworthy.

For many years, the devout disciples of Shaniyada and the surrounding villages had a desire for a Mandir to be built so that they could worship the almighty Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and please Acharya Swamishree Maharaj through their devotion.

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj conceded to their prayers and a plot of land was donated for the Mandir to be built. Under the supervision of Shree Yogpriyadasji Swami, Shree Ghanshyamswaroopdasji Swami and other senior Sants, construction of the Mandir was completed rapidly and a 2 day festival was held on 14 and 15 October 2015, to mark its grand opening. This event formed part of the ongoing festivities in celebration of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir Rajat Mahotsav, which will be celebrated in September 2016.

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj arrived in Panchmahal during the evening of Tuesday 13 October 2015. During the morning of Wednesday 14 October 2015, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj commenced the scripture recitals and the Murti consecration ceremony. During the evening, Swamibapa’s highly talented Sants performed devotional songs.

During the morning of Thursday 14 October, the conclusions of all the scripture recitals were held.

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the Pratishtha ceremony and installed the divine Murtis of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and the Lord’s sacred lineage of spiritual heirs in a golden sinhasan. A lavish array of food in the form of a grand annakut was offered to the Lord and disciples were given the opportunity of performing aarti.

During the closing ceremony, the disciples of Shaniyada brought a large garland made of 73,000 grains of puffed rice (mamra), and each grain had the name ‘Bapa’ written on it. The young disciples of Shaniyada made the 73 foot long garland, containing 73 strands, in the last week preceding the festival. Senior Sants and disciples presented the garland to Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.
