Acharya Swamishree Maharaj visited Panchmahal to perform Patotsav ceremonies at various Mandirs in the region.
Shortly following a busy period for Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, during which He presided over three-day Patotsav festivals in Maninagar and Kheda, He visited Panchmahal to perform Patotsav ceremonies at various Mandirs in the region. The disciples of this rural region are renowned for their selfless and unrelenting devotion for Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa – so much so that Acharya Swamishree Maharaj is acquiescent to their love, and with little regard for His own health, never fails to heed their prayers to visit the region.
Acharya Swamishree Maharaj presided in Matariya on 28th February, Bodidra on 1st March, followed by Dhandhalpur. During the assembly on 28th February, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj donated 50 Sewing machines to local households so that the women in those homes could earn a better living, make a greater contribution and work towards self-betterment. He also launched a number of scholarships so that young girls could have access to education and fulfil their potential – all in a region that has traditionally struggled to mobilise, empower and progress girls and women. These initiatives are small components of a much wider strategy for Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, inspired by Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, to improve the regard for women across India, particularly in rural or impoverished regions, through the use of education.
