Sants and disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi living around the world perform additional prayers and hold assemblies to remember the remarkable deeds of Jeevanpran Swamibapa.
Sunday 20 September 2015 marked exactly 36 years since Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa performed His antardhyam leela – He withdrew His human appearance from this Earth on Samvat 2035 Bhadarva Sud 7.
To commemorate this day, the Sants and disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi living around the world perform additional prayers and hold assemblies to remember the remarkable deeds of Swamibapa. Several hundred disciples travelled on foot from their various villages in the Panchmahal region to Kheda, the sacred manifestation site of Gurudev Swamibapa. They performed dhoon as they walked the distance - for some, this amounted to over 100 kilometres. Here, the disciples commemorated Swamibapa's Purnatithi in the presence of Sants from Kheda and Kadi Mandir.
In Maninagardham, a Prabhat-feri was held from before sunrise; Sants and disciples performed pradakshina around the Brahm-mahol whilst performing dhoon. Many disciples then walked to Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir, where a special assembly was held. The disciples of the Smruti Mandir region welcomed Acharya Swamishree Maharaj with a garland that was 36 feet long. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed poojan to Gurudev Swamibapa and everyone performed pradakshina around the Lord. Continuous meditation was also held, after which the last ashirwad given by Swamibapa in Windermere, Lake District, were heard.
