Shree Swaminarayan Gadi is eternal, just as Lord Shree Swaminarayan is eternal. Shree Swaminarayan Gadi is the throne that Lord Shree Swaminarayan presides upon in Akshardham; the lustre from His Murti takes the form of a Gadi, as stated in the Vachanamrut scripture. On 31st December 1801 CE, the Lord revealed His true name, Swaminarayan; He also said that the throne that He was sitting on would now be called Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. After 61 days of continuous meditation during which He received the direct command from Lord Shree Swaminarayan Himself, it was in 1972 that our most revered Gurudev, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa performed the revelation of the Lord’s sacred throne, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. In September 2022, the Sants and disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi living around the world celebrate the golden jubilee of the most significant event in the history of our religious Organisation, at our headquarters, Maninagar, Gujarat, India.
To celebrate 50 years since Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa gave a physical embodiment to Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, with the divine blessings of Ved Ratna Acharya Shree Purushottampriya Swamishree Maharaj, a grand festival has been inspired by Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriya Swamiji Maharaj, which will take place in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, India from 19th - 25th September 2022.
