Sukhpar Sanskar Kendra Mahotsav

Lord Shree Swaminarayan visited the village on numerous occasions and it is said that He gave the name, Sukhpar – the village of happiness. Sukhpar is situated approximately 5 miles from Bhuj, in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The disciples of the village requested Acharya Swamishree Maharaj to build a centre for them, so that they could have the facilities to worship the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. One disciple even donated land for this purpose. Accepting their prayers, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj commanded Sants and disciples to commence construction of a splendid centre for the propagation and preservation of Lord Shree Swaminarayan’s supremacy and philosophy – Sukhpar Sanskar Kendra.

The inauguration of this new Centre will performed by Acharya Swamishree Maharaj on Thursday 8 May 2014, and a 3 day celebration starting on Tuesday 6 May will be held in the village of Sukhpar. As part of these festivities, the Lord will preside on ceremonial elephants and a magnificent procession will take place through the village. Such a glorious procession has never been held in Sukhpar before.

Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Sants will perform scripture recitals of the Rahasyarth Pradeepika Tika sah Vachanamrut, Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, and Shree Abji Bapashree ni Vato, during the 3 days of the festival. A concert of devotional singing and dance will be held during the evening of Tuesday 6 May 2014.
