In the Satsangi Jeevan, it says “Akhandam swaswaroopasthaa mahaanto ye tu purushaaha… “ The manifestation of great sants is purely for the salvation of souls. Unlike ordinary beings, they manifest and depart according to their will, but not by the theory of karma. Jeevanpran Swamibapa has versed this in His kirtan, “Prakrut divya charitra manohar…”

The departure of Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa from this mortal world is just another episode in the divine leela of the Lord and His great Sants.

Thursday 30th August 1979 was the day that Jeevanpran Swamibapa had chosen to end His divine leela upon this earth. The place was Bolton , UK . Swamibapa talked about how He had come to the UK after doing a chovat (debate) for 27 days. Although these words did not seem significant at the time, Jeevanpran Swamibapa was indicating that He would soon perform His antardhaan leela.

Debate for 27 Days

In Samvat 1948, Sadguru Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa and Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree were giving their divine darshan in different regions. Shree Nirgun Bapa was presiding in Ahmdavad and Jeevanpran Bapashree was in Kutch . They both took an illness upon themselves on the same day. Such was the severity of their respective conditions that They both became unconscious. After 27 days, They both spontaneously regained consciousness and became well again. Bapashree explained the true divinity of what had just occurred. He explained that for these 27 days, a chovat was held in Akshardham with Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Himself and Shree Nirgun Bapa. Jeevanpran Bapashree wanted to withdraw His human darshan from this earth, but Shree Nirgun Bapa refused to allow this, debating that He should withdraw His human darshan instead. At the end of this 27 day long debate, it was agreed that Shree Nirgun Bapa would withdraw His darshan whilst Jeevanpran Bapashree's darshan would continue.

Our beloved Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa was highlighting the parallels between this divine episode and His own recent leela in Bombay , thus hinting at His imminent antardhaan leela.

Just prior to this visit to the UK , the British High Commission in Bombay was refusing to grant visas to Jeevanpran Swamibapa and He had to remain in Bombay.
