You shone your light in my times of darkness,

And held my hand to eradicate the loneliness,

The footprints you have left have replaced my sadness,

Giving me your sight to appreciate the goodness….

What would I be without you by my side,

So blessed I am with you as my guide,

You may have left this mortal world - but never far away,

Your holiness and divinity forever it will stay….

The sweet scent of your being still lingers in the air,

Every time I close my eyes you are still there,

Forever giving and showering endless love….

I pray to you to give me the wisdom to know right from wrong,

And in your faith to remain steadfast and strong,

Embrace me in your loving arms until I surrender to your will,

Take me in your shelter - good values and faith in me instil.
