The opening of the new Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Mumbai, in the affluent region of Mahalaxmi, was celebrated by disciples from all over the world.

One facet of the festival's charitable aid included the donating of blood to the city's blood bank. Acharya Swamishree, sants and disciples broke the record of the Mumbai Blood Donation Centre, for giving the most blood donations on one occasion.

A grand procession was led from Chowpatty Beach to the Temple on Bhulabhai Desai Road , during which Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree gave darshan to the residents of Mumbai. The Mayor of Mumbai came for the start of the procession.
