The year 2002 marked the 200th anniversary of the revelation of the supreme Swaminarayan name, as revealed by the supreme Lord Himself for the salvation of innumerable souls.

The Sarvopari Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dvisatabdi Mahotsav was held in the forecourt of Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Maninagar, from the 5th until the 9th of January.

Acharya Swamishree inspired many unique and memorable events during this festival, such as: the kunku dance performed by a sant during where he drew the Haathiyo symbol with his feet during a devotional dance performance; and the 200 ft long garland presented to Acharya Swamishree by the devotees of Panchmal, to name but two.
