Sport Relief Run
Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Golders Green hosted a Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 16 March 2008. Over 200 people from the local community signed up to support this worthy cause. Before the run commenced, the crowds were entertained by Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band, an all Asian, traditional Scottish bagpipe band. Members of Shree Muktajeevan Dhol Academy also entertained the runners as they warmed up in preparation for the run.

Diwali07 Celebrations in Barnet, London
Saturday 10th November 2007 marked the start of the New Hindu year. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, the Hindu community of Shree Swaminarayan Temple Golders Green, Barnet held a special Diwali event for their neighbours and friends. Invited dignitaries included, Andrew Dismore (MP for Hendon), Rudy Vis (MP for Golders Green), Mike Freer (Leader of Barnet Council) and Deputy Mayor of London, Nicky Gavron.

London Temple Patotsav Celebrations
Sunday 26th of August 2007 marked the seventh anniversary of the installation of the supreme Murtis of Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa at Shree Swaminarayan Temple London by His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree. In addition to it being the seventh patotsav ceremony, three other occasions were being celebrated today: The 25th anniversary of the current London temple; His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree's 65th birthday; and of course, the ongoing Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabadi (centenary) celebrations.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Centenary London
In celebration of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Shatabdi, the centenary celebrations of our founder, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa, Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Golders Green, London are hosting a special culture event at Trafalgar Square during the evening of 24 August 2007, between 5 and 9.30 pm. The event will take place in the presence of Acharya Swamishree Purushottampriyadasji Maharaj, spiritual leader of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, the worldwide centre for spiritual, cultural and social welfare.

Three Wise Men Parade - Madrid, Spain
Three Wise Men (Cabalgata de Reyes) is Europe's largest parade dedicated to children, and held in Spain. On the evening of 5th Jan 2007, children lined the streets of Madrid to watch a wide array of floats and Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band. The parade has been celebrated for over 60 years and each year continues to become ever more popular. The parade purely focuses around children and the receiving of gifts by the Three Wise Men.

Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band Leads the London Parade
Thousands of performers from all around the world took part in London's spectacular annual New Year's Day Parade on 1st January 2007. Leading the parade was Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band, London. This year the Parade celebrated its 21st Anniversary as Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band celebrates it's 35th anniversary. The band was proud to take part by marking its series of Worldwide performances in honour of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa, whose Shatabdi (Centenary) celebrations are being held in October 2007 in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, India.

On the 2nd of December Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band London, was invited to entertain the public at the world famous Oxford and Regent Streets in Central London. The Band performed to the crowds on this special day when the streets were closed to traffic to promote the City of London. The band marched up and down Oxford Street and Regent Street playing their full repertoire of tunes and performing their marching formations.
