An extraordinary, spectacular event was held in Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir in Godasar, during the evening of Sunday 19 November 2006. Inspired by Acharya Swamishree, a magnificent dance was performed to the accompaniment of patriotic songs, including ‘Jaha Daal Daal Par’ and ‘Jay Jay Garvi Gujarat’. During the performances, over 175 young performers danced on all four levels of Shree Smruti Mandir simultaneously. The mayor of Ahmedabad, Shree Amitbhai Shah was present to witness this dance program. He was delighted to take note of Acharya Swamishree’s continued efforts to preserve the traditional dance and music skills of India.
Thousands of local residents of Ahmedabad had gathered in the vast grounds of Smruti Mandir. At the end of the program, everyone stood up and sang the Indian National Anthem. This was truly a very special moment that touched the hearts of all those present.
