Acharya Swamishree has recently embarked on a three month long worldwide tour
as part of the Vishwa Shanti Yagna, which He has instigated to promote peace,
understanding and tolerance amongst all. This included special assemblies held
in the UK, the USA and several countries in mainland Europe.
Having concluded this facet of the on-going Vishwa Shanti Yagna, His Divine
Holiness returned to Maninagar on the 24th September 2002.
To coincide with the Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir anniversary, a special
welcoming assembly was held by the Sants and disciples of Gujarat on the 5th
October 2002 at Maninagar.
A procession was held from the Suvarna Tula Smarak Bhavan to the Maninagar
Mandir compound. A beautiful chariot carried Acharya Swamishree and was pulled
by the Sants. As Acharya Swamishree entered the centre of the compound, the
highly talented Sants performed a spectacular welcoming dance.
Acharya Swamishree was led onto the stage with the accompaniment of these dancing
Sants. His Holiness then cut a celebratory cake and offered it to Shree Harikrishna
Maharaj and Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa.
On this special occasion, the disciples of Gujarat held Bapashree ni vato scripture
recitals. A total of 1257 parayans were simultaneously conducted. This constitutes
a record-breaking number of parayans concurrently recited. At the end of the
event, each person in the assembly was given a divo, with which they were able
to perform aarti from where they were seated. The massive display of twinkling
divas amongst the darkened sabha mandap, resembled the night sky with all the
twinkling stars.
Finally, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree distributed prasad to all the
disciples, on whose behalf the parayan had been conducted.
