A special assembly was held on Monday 26th July 1999 in the Muktajeevan Auditorium and in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree to honour the brave soldiers who died in the recent conflict between India and Pakistan.

Chief Lieutenant Shree Shiv Kumar of the Indian Army was present at the occasion. Prayers were held for the souls of all who perished in the battles. The children of our schools in Maninagar, Shree Swaminarayan High School, Shree Swaminarayan Primary School and Shree Swaminarayan Kindergarten had made a collection in aid of the families of those who had been killed. Acharya Swamishree presented a cheque of 1 lakh and 27 thousand rupees to Shree Shiv Kumar, which all the young students had collected. Amongst all the schools in the district of Maninagar, our school had made by far the biggest collection of money. Everyone commended the efforts of the children and His Holiness Acharya Swamishree blessed them all.
