His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree made this year's Bharat Independence Day, Sunday August 15th 1999, a day that the brave soldiers of the Kutch Border Military will never forget. They were all deeply moved and touched by Acharya Swamishree's visit to their barracks. A large group of sants and devotees also accompanied Acharya Swamishree to this military base station, which had been the site of recent conflicts.

Acharya Swamishree praised their devotion, heroism and selfless dedication to their Motherland and blessed them all. He distributed prasad to the entire garrison and inspired them with the spirit of heroism. Acharya Swamishree showered them all with the divine blessings of Lord Swaminarayan. The officers in charge thanked Acharya Swamishree for His active interest and inspiring visit.
