Diwali Celebrations Across North America
Mandals of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan all across North America celebrated Diwali and the Hindu New Year. Disciples from each mandal offered a grand annkut to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa during their celebrations.

World Gujarati Conference 2008
The Association of Indian Americans in North America (AIANA) held its annual World Gujarati Conference (Chaalo Gujarat) from Friday, August 29th through Sunday, August 31st, 2008 at the Raritan Exposition Center in Edison, New Jersey. AIANA's goal for the World Gujarati Conference is to establish a unity between the Gujarati-speaking communities in America. Thousands of Indians from all over the United States attend the conference each year. Cultural activities, performances, and information sessions are held at the event.

India Day Parade - Jersey City, NJ
The India Day Parade of Jersey City, New Jersey, celebrating sixty-one years of India's independence, took place on Friday, August 15th, 2008. Swamibapa Pipe Band was invited to play in the parade, and Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey was invited to represent itself once again.

Acharya Swamishree's Departure from the United States
After completing their two-month vicharan of the entire United States and Canada, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and the mandal of sants departed the United States for their vicharan of the United Kingdom.

North East Vicharan
Immediately following the Gurupoonam celebrations, from July 20th through August 9th, 2008, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree completed His vicharan of the Northeast region of the United States. This region includes the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, as well as all of the New England states.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple, New Jersey 7th Patotsav
On Sunday, August 3rd, 2008, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performed the 7th Patotsav ceremony of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey. After the Patotsav ceremony, He performed the flag-raising ceremony, replacing last year's Shree Swaminarayan Gadi flags on the temple's sikhars with new ones.

'Inspiration India'
A three-day celebration from Friday, August 1st through Sunday, August 3rd, 2008, was held in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and thirteen eminent sants at Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey for the temple's seventh Patotsav (temple anniversary). To kick off the celebration, a magnificent festival - Inspiration India - was held on Friday, August 1st, 2008, at Buchmuller Park, located in central Secaucus just minutes away from the temple.
