India Day Parade - Jersey City, NJ
The India Day Parade of Jersey City, New Jersey, celebrating sixty-one years of India's independence, took place on Friday, August 15th, 2008. Swamibapa Pipe Band was invited to play in the parade, and Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey was invited to represent itself once again.

After completing their two-month vicharan of the entire United States and Canada, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and the mandal of sants departed the United States for their vicharan of the United Kingdom.

North East Vicharan
Immediately following the Gurupoonam celebrations, from July 20th through August 9th, 2008, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree completed His vicharan of the Northeast region of the United States. This region includes the states of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, as well as all of the New England states.

On Sunday, August 3rd, 2008, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree performed the 7th Patotsav ceremony of Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey. After the Patotsav ceremony, He performed the flag-raising ceremony, replacing last year's Shree Swaminarayan Gadi flags on the temple's sikhars with new ones.

'Inspiration India'
A three-day celebration from Friday, August 1st through Sunday, August 3rd, 2008, was held in the presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and thirteen eminent sants at Shree Swaminarayan Temple New Jersey for the temple's seventh Patotsav (temple anniversary). To kick off the celebration, a magnificent festival - Inspiration India - was held on Friday, August 1st, 2008, at Buchmuller Park, located in central Secaucus just minutes away from the temple.

On Sunday, July 27th, 2008, disciples of the United States organized an outdoor gathering that was held in the divine presence of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree. The event took place at New Jersey's Spruce Run State Park. During the event, Acharya Swamishree was seated on a beautiful swing decorated with flowers.
