Shree Abji Bapashree Jayanti celebrations - London
The auspicious day that the supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayan chose to give darshan upon the Earth as Shree Abji Bapashree was Prabhodhini Ekadashi (Kartik Sud Ekadashi, Samvat 1901). The 171th anniversary of this historic occasion was celebrated at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury on Sunday 22 November 2015.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury Welcomes Modi
The Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi was visiting the UK this week and Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band and Dhol Academy from London and Bolton were invited to perform at the welcoming event at Wembley Stadium on Friday 13th February. Furthermore, Shree Swaminarayan Mandirs in Kingsbury and Bolton were two of the official welcome partners for the event, and hundreds of disciples from our community attended the event.

2015 Diwali and Hindu New Year Celebrations - London
The Diwali and Hindu New Year festival this year was a uniquely spectacular affair at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, as not only did members of the Mandir community go to Wembley Stadium this week to welcome the Indian Prime Minister to the UK, but the Stadium itself was brought to the Mandir in the form of an intricate cake.

Sharad Poonam celebrations at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir London
On the 26th of October 2015, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, celebrated Sharad Poonam in Purushottam Mahal, within Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Complex.

Although Sharad Poonam is typically celebrated as a harvest festival, it has a particular spiritual significance within the Swaminarayan Sampraday.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pragatya Jayanti celebrations - London
On Monday 12th October celebrations for Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa 108th Pragatya Jayanti (Manifestation Day) were held at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury. In the lead up to the day, two videos were shown over the weekend showcasing the seven prophesies that told of the manifestation of Jeevanpran Swamibapa and how He rejuvenated the faith after after Abjibapashree left His divine form on.

As part of the Sewa Day on the 4th of October 2015, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury collected over 4000 food item to donate to a local charity, helping to alleviate the heartaches of homelessness.

Special assembly held to commemorate Jeevanpran Swamibapa's Punyatithi
According to the Indian calendar, Swamibapa performed His antardhyan leela on Samvat 2035 Bhadarva Sud 7 in Bolton - Sunday 20th September 2015 marked exactly 36 years since that day. This day is not necessarily a sad day, but a day to remember what Jeevanpran Swamibapa did for us - the disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, for the wider Swaminarayan Faith and for the entire world.

London's iconic Tower Bridge recreated at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury
This year the Hindola Festival took place from Sunday 2nd August 2015 (Samvat 2071 Ashadh Vad 2) to Monday 31st August (Shravan Vad 2). The month-long festival brought out the best of the community's creative talents, especially from the youngsters, as their devotion for the Lord was personified by some wonderful artistry and craftsmanship.
