Rajat Pratishtha Mahotsav
Joshipura is a small village close to Ahmedabad. Jeevanpran Bapashree and Sadguru Shree Ishwar Bapa visited Joshipura many times and instilled sincere faith and devotion into the devotees of this village. Seeing the true dedication to the Lord of these devotees, Acharya Swamishree created a temple for the ladies of the village in Joshipura in 1980. This was the first temple that Acharya Swamishree inaugurated after Jeevanpran Swamibapa withdrew His human appearance in 1979.
Another temple already existed in Joshipura. This was built by Sadguru Shree Ishwar Bapa in Samvat 1987 and is considered a general temple for everyone in the village.
Twenty five years have passed since Acharya Swamishree performed the Murti Pratishtha in Joshipura. In celebration, a magnificent silver jubilee festival was held from Saturday 12th February 2005 to Monday 14th February 2005.
The devotees of Joshipura worked with hard with the sants of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan for many weeks and transformed the feeling ambiance of the entire village. Lights, flags, bunting and banners were placed everywhere. Large, temporary kitchen facilities were built. Accommodation was arranged for all the people who would attend the festival from outside the village. This was the first ever festival to be celebrated in Joshipura in such a magnificent way. Everyone from the village, of all denominations were excited about this unprecedented event in the history of Joshipura.
