The Divineness of Khushal Bhatt
Lords Shree Swaminarayan had said, "Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swami is the supreme head of the entire religion. I will work through him and will remain present in the religion forever."
Before Saguru Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa became a sant he was known as Khushal Bhatt. He lived in a village called Todla.
One day a brahmin's son and his cow were going to drink some water at the edge of a neighbouring forest, when he was attacked killed along with the cow by a tiger. The boy's father was grief striken and decided that there was no point in living anymore and started to go after the tiger. The villagers were trying to stop him, when Khushal Bhatt arrived. Khushal Bhatt calmed him down and the brahmin fell to his feet weeping. Khushal Bhatt comforted the brahmin and approached the tiger who was still prowling at the edge of the forest, Khushal Bhatt somply slapped the tiger on the face. It fell to the ground and was led into a trance in which he was reminded of his previous birth. The tiger was give divine darshan of Khushal Bhatt in the trance. When the tiger woke up it performed pradakshina (walking around in a circle in a clockwise direction) of Khushal Bhatt. It sat down on its paws in front of Khushal Bhatt who commanded it to give up its violent and savage ways, and told it that whenever it was hungry, it shoud go to the village and show its stomach to the villagers who will give it food. The tiger bowed to him.
Khushal Bhatt then splashed a palm full of water on the dead boy and the cow at which they were both came back to life. Everyone who witness this began to praise and bowed down to Khushal Bhatt.
After this incident, when ever the tiger becam hungry, it cam to the village and showed its stomach and was given food. The children became friendly towards the tiger and they sat on its back and it gave them a ride.
Our beloved Sadguru Shree Gopalanand Swamibapa performed divine miracles even before he became a sant. |
